Flower Power Cookies
Let’s spring into baking with some superpower “Flower Power” cookies. There is nothing better than making our own treats for our 4-legged friends. This recipe includes unsalted sunflower which are a good source of fibre, are high in healthy fats and antioxidants, and are rich in vitamins and minerals. Always feed anything to your pet in moderation to avoid upset tummies.

INGREDIENTS
• 1¼ cups Oat Flour
• 1¼ cups Rice Flour
• 1 cup of shelled sunflower seeds (unsalted)
• ½ cup of rolled oats (not quick oats)
• ½ cup chopped dried blueberries or cranberries
• ¼ cup Honey
• 3 Tbsp apple sauce
• 1 egg
• ½ cup of water (1 Tbsp at a time.)
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Combine ingredients except the water and save some sunflower seeds for the tops.
- Add the water slowly and adjust if needed.
- If the dough is too dry, add more water. Too wet, add more flour.
- Roll out to ¼-inch thick and cut out cookies.
- Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Check often and enjoy when cooled.

TIP
You can make your own oat flour by blending oats in a food processor until they are a
consistency comparable to flour.
